About Author W.M. McLaurine
Willie Mae McLaurine started the writing company "The Moving Finger Writes" in 1996 that caters to the education of the young. Her eighteen year experience in public education, as a Youth Pastor, and a Sunday School Teacher has given her much insight in the lives of children. She attends Word of Life Christian Center International under the leadership of Pastors Alexander and Clarissa Arthur. Much of her adult life has been dedicated to educating children on the works of Jesus Christ. While employed as an editor for R. H. Boyd Publishing, she authored several Sunday School Quarterlies and assisted with other published projects for children. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Tennessee State University, where she returned later to complete an extensive Writer’s Workshop. She was widowed September 23, 2014, when her husband of forty years died. She is the mother of daughter, Nicole and her late son George Jr. as well as grandmother of two-year-old Maddox Royal, who is the inspiration for this book, King of the Road.
